It would be a strategic mistake to start with a permissive license. Companies switch to / start with a permissive license as soon as they are too big to fail. If you start off with a permissive license, your business has already failed, unless it's your intention to get acquired. In that case, a completely different set of rules applies (only very few of them making sense).
