Android studio offers many different drawables for free for developers. I was wondering what the restrictions are, if any, to use them in published applications.

  • I don't know of any resource used by android or android studio that requires royalty payments. While the kernel is GPL, Android tries to use Apache and CC when it can. The content license page (linked from android studio docs) would indicate that (most) content and code samples are covered by CC-BY, meaning you need to give attribution, there is a good chance the same also applies to the images included with drawables. – sambler Nov 26 '18 at 2:11
